JIM BEAM

REMASTERED

In this project, I was tasked with creating a complete branding and packaging design for a remastered product. I selected a classic spirit for this purpose, specifically targeting the Jim Beam label. This redesign was planned for the launch of a special distillery series in the market. The choice to remaster Jim Beam was inspired by the dual celebration of its 230th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of International Women’s Day.

CHALLENGE

The primary challenge was to meticulously design a remastered label that resonated with a special occasion, appealed to a specific audience, and effectively promoted the product. Given the historical significance of such products, the design needed to captivate existing fans with a blend of nostalgia and innovation. My approach involved extensive research into the histories of Jim Beam and International Women’s Day to develop a branding strategy that seamlessly integrated both themes into a unified and compelling visual narrative.

SOLUTION

The solution entailed developing a remastered label that prominently featured the 230th anniversary of Kentucky Straight Jim Beam alongside the 50th anniversary of International Women’s Day. To honor this, I incorporated elements of fine art into the label design, showcasing paintings by renowned female artists. This not only served as a tribute to women but also added a unique aesthetic value to each bottle. The design strategy included retaining core elements from the original Jim Beam logo while introducing modern and feminine twists to celebrate these significant milestones. This approach ensured the label was both reflective of its rich heritage and appealing to contemporary tastes.
