HILLTOP MONTESSORI IDENTITY REBRNDING

This projectā€™s mission was to craft a fresh identity for Hilltop Montessori School in Mt. Laurel, Alabama, one that truly mirrors the Montessori ethos of nurturing a childā€™s passion for learning, and fostering respect for oneself, others, and the broader community. The rebranding includes a new logo and lockup, a print business model, and products. The following designs are influenced by three key words and a mood board, which were carefully crafted to guide the rebranding of Hilltop Montessori.


Community. Diversity. Learning.


CHALLENGE

To design an identity that is clear, direct, and timeless. The new identity must better communicate the schoolā€™s values, aspirations, and aid in celebrating the diversity, inclusion, and uniqueness the of academic and campus life.



CONCEPT

The concept behind the mark is to show community, diversity, and learning in an abstracted way. The colors are fun and friendly and show diversity by highlighting the uniqueness of each child. Community is shown by the gathering of 4 students who come together to create an addition sign. This shows the value they add to their lives. Learning is implied by the ā€œLā€ letter shape that is formed by the arms, which also takes the shape of a book.
